Vacuum line routing
I'm currently in the process of buttoning up an '05 Aveo that had a broken timing belt. I've just got one little stumper left, on the valve cover next to the PCV valve is a port for a 1/4" hose. The valve cover was off this car when I started on it, and I can't for the life of me find either a dangling hose or another port anywhere on the engine to connect this to. This hose appears to be unique to the '04 and '05 1.6L, and I haven't been able to even find a picture of one of these engines out of the car, to help with the search. Can anyone help?

Nope, that one goes to the overflow jug, right? It's this one:

BTW, this is your pic of your '05 valve cover, that port's not on your '07 one.

Going out to my car to check, brb...
And I'm back! Took me a minute to realize what you meant!
That little stumpydoop is just an air vent, to allow the air from the hose connected to the intake to travel to/from somewhere, which prevents a vaccum from forming and potentially sucking oil into places it shouldn't be!
There's no hose for it, it's just kinda there.
Happy driving!

Thank you so much! The owner has been driving it for a few days, and I've been worried about that stupid missing hose in the back of my mind, good to know that it doesn't actually go to anything.
