Hey guys new to the group! I'm replacing the timing belt in my fiancé car after the dreaded timing belt failure 😔. Idler broke causing the valves to smash into the pistons. I buffed off where the valves hit the pistons as this shouldn't be a big problem, cylinder walls are good and cross hatch is good. Got a reman head with new everythomg
and installing it the question I have is if I line the two marks on the cam gears up is that all I need to do it's not if you spin it 180 degrees it's on #1 and then if you spin it again it's on #4 TDC is it? Do all I have to do is just line then marks up on the cam gears? Thanks so much guys! It's a 05 Aveo with a 1.6L in it
