      Raspy Exhaust Fix, Help.

So I hate the sound that the owners of 1980's hondas with a quick muffler have that are raspy as hell and high pitched and well....ricey.

      problem.
More often than I can deal with my exhaust does that I've got a magnaflow on my aveo so im thinking that the issue, what brand exhaust will fix this and if you can even tell me what model that would be great, I want that rich low tone with that raspy ricey sound.

It honestly has nothing to do with the muffler. That sound all comes from the piping and the resonator/cat you use...

Use a 2.25" piping with cat and resonator and you'll be fine...

2" piping is best for the car.

Flowmaster flowmaster flowmaster... Specifically the 60 Series delta, that's what I got, and I LOVE IT.

However I disagree with the 2.25" piping, anything over 2" and you'll get problems with the sound, it'll sound like someone breathing through a straw that has a few drops of water in it.

I have 2" and it's fine, but when I make the final product (with better pipes, tip, welding and bending... Yes my exhaust setup is not final, I still have to fine tune it a bit more), I might think about going to 1.75" piping.
