Oh that's funny "money back ordeal" LOL
fake fake fake
it would be nice if someone developed a chip that actually worked. maybe caspers electronics will develop a "throttle enhancer calibrator". i had one on my grand national that plugged in between the harness for the tps. at 60% throttle it recalibrated for WOT. it seemed to work well on the grand national. i also had a street/strip chip programmed for 93 octane as to the 55lb injectors, and walbro 340 fuel pump i was running in the car. that with the bigger turbo done by garrett and my car used to fly.
alright enough said... i feel like a dumbass.. no need to keep goin and saying it doesn't work and tell me how they screw you with your money.. i was curious and now i know.
hey lowaveo17 no need to feel like a dumbass. there are some of us who might be waiting for an actual working chip. who knows? maybe someday something will show up.
usually on the topic of chips you get jumped on because most of the members here have been here a while and you can only take seeing "is this chip real" so many times....same with the turbonator..it doesn't work
wait, ur saying the turbonator dont work? i just bought one!
psyche.
By the way, a huge rule when it comes to buying stuff online, if they have no contact address, phone number or staff listings/store photos...
...The company itself is probably fake.
Bottom line: ECU modification on a naturally aspirated vehicle (no turbo/super charger) will never give you more than (at MOST) 10hp/lb-ft.
Side note: Chips GO IN THE ECU. They do not wire into any sensors or harness. A company that claims they're selling a performance chip and it needs to be wired to ANYTHING, is full of ****. These are resistors, or small uncomplicated analog circuits that adjust the reading given by sensors BEFORE it reaches the ECU. Generally the idea is to trick the ECU into putting more fuel into the mixture. This is generally counter productive and harmful to the motor.
Reputable companies do sell products that need to be wired in, these are called piggyback computers or similar. The company WILL refer to them as such. These generally wire in AFTER the ECU, replacing it's instructions to the fuel/ignition systems with the piggyback's. So rather than tricking the ECU, you are bypassing it. This can still be dangerous if you don't know what you're doing.
