My Aveo T200 fails to start sometimes

Sometimes, when I turn the key, the car fails to start. I hear the noise of the starter, but it don't start.

If I leave the key in the ignition, and try to turn again a few seconds later, it won't start, but if I remove the key, and introduce again the same seconds later, it will (most of the times).

Sometimes when I turn the key, the car starts and, if I release the key too son, stalls, but if I keep the the key for a second more, it won't.

When the car stalls, it won't start if I try to turn the key again, but if I remove the key, wait a few seconds, and try to start again, it usually does.

      Any ideas?

      Thank you.

My guess is a failing ignition switch. But to be sure requires much testing, so just a guess.
