How many litres come out of the Aisin AW81-40LE Aveo tranny (4 speed) just drain?

      Hi guys,

If I remove the drain plug on this tranny how many litres come out just from the pan? I plan to do 2 partial drain and refills.

Chevy Aveo 1.6 auto 2011. (Mexico made).

My oil supplier only has 4 litre cans.

      Thanks

There was model change in 2011, what month was it made in Mexico?
How about a good photo of the front of the car?

I suspect it may be known in the US as a Sonic.
Edit: Thanks for posting the Photo.
To me, it looks like an AVEO not a Sonic.
It is very similar to the TK Barina here in Aus. Only the front guards and headlights are slightly different.
I leave it to others to make the call.

Not too sure on the month but pretty sure it was the last of the T250 models sold here in Uruguay. No more after that. Standard 4 speed tranny.

T250 model isn't it? T300 I believe was the sonic with the 5 speed auto.
      Aveo G3 on the back.

Hope someone can advise soon. Drain and refill how many litres come out of the oil pan? 2/3/4?

I realise quite a few litres stay in the torque converter pipes etc.
      Thanks

About 2 quarts, at most. But there is no reason to do it all at once. I routinely drain and refill the tranny every year when I'm changing the motor oil. Over time the fluid will be kept clean. It's a much better plan than never changing the fluid at all.

Thanks. In fact today I just bought a 4 litre can of T-IV so I'll first drain, change the filter and refill.
Then run it for a bit and drain and refill what I've got left of the 4 litres.

Checking the oil today its looking pretty dirty. Original from the factory. The original aisin is a yellow colour I believe like zf 6hp fluid. I can imagine I'll need to do 3 drain and refills at least. So I'll buy another 4 litre can of Toyota t-iv. Really expensive here about 20 usd a litre. Mobil is the same maybe a little more expensive.

Yellow? No. Transmission fluid is red. When it is old and dirty it might appear brown.

Not all is red. The zf boxes in jaguars, bmw and several other brands use zf atf which is a golden yellow. But yes it does need changing asap.
