HEADS UP to you desert rats!

Well! Just changed the nerd thermostat housing and upper radiator hose on on my o4.. and noticed the new thermostats we can get for these aveos temp set is over 190 degrees!! I can't believe it. For anyone who lives where you'd need to worry about overheating..well,
what I did was take a grinder and put in a restrictor plate to allow a small amount of constant flow.
See, you never hear people complaining about how their car overcooled, you do hear about how they overheat!

And should.. come around winter, and my heater is not heating fast enough for my tastes (though I live somewhere I've never had to use my heater in the winter lol) then can just swap the stat out real quick with a stock one.

It's just not worth it not to.

I live where it gets pretty cold. The only problem with low temp or constant flow thermostats is that the vehicle takes a bit longer to warm up in the winter. Once it's warmed up everything should be good to go.
