We can make these for you with no problem but we require a sample piston in order to make the blueprints. Once we receive your sample we can make the pistons however you want them. JE has no record of the specifications for this engine to make the pistons without a sample. We have the basic info for this engine ( 1,598 cc 1.6 liters in-line 4 front engine with 79 mm bore, 81.5 mm stroke, 9.5 compression ratio, double overhead cam and four valves per cylinder L91.) But we need the sample for Valve pocket locations, angles, depths, pin heights, etc.

A set of 4 custom JE 2618 Alloy forged pistons with wrist pins and JE Rings is $625 per set and takes approx 4 weeks to build once we receive your sample piston. Any bore size or compression ratio you want...
Add $80 for Total-Seal Gapless rings

A set of 4 Custom Forged 4340 Con Rods is $825 and takes 4-5 weeks
We also need a sample Rod and Rod Bearing to make these for you....

      Ship Samples to:

      Top-End Performance
      JE Pistons
7452 Varna Ave North Hollywood CA 91605 USA

Shipping to Ohio for Pistons and Rods is $20

      Thank you ......Steve

I have a set of JE pistons for my 2.0L and so do a few others from Daewootech.

I don't think anybody has ordered the 1.6L pistons before.

The price on the pistons is fairly normal.... I was quoted very similar prices but I managed to get my set from someone else for significantly less money ( pistons were never used )

The rods are a little on the expensive side...... I had quotes closer to $650 ..... one company I was thinking about getting rods from was Pauter Rods..... they make decent reliable stuff.

Personally.... if you want higher compression..... get some European X16 pistons.... I think they are 10.5:1
