Engine revs to 3000 rpm , won't idle down.

Update on yesterdays post. Engine starts and idles ok but when you start driving it revs up while shifting and anytime you push in clutch and tries to run away down the road---no foot on the gas. I checked the throttle plate by removing the air intake hose and that all looks fine and the cable works free and throttle sits on the screw, not sticking open that I can see. Any ideas? Thanks LB

might be running rich to keep the rpms up like your giving it gas.. when your not.


could also be a stick warm up circuit, maybe it has toyota acceleration anxiety?
