      Engine Cover :D

So i got tired of having a blue car and a black cover so i painted my cover over the motor Blue i used a Hi-Temp paint and preped it fairly well with sanding it first and masking the E-Tec III and 16V on the cover. has anyone done this before me? and will you post Pic's of them.

A good number of people have, including me. In fact it's actually one of the first visual mods I've noticed Aveo owners doing.
      Here's mine:

The first for me was the grill. Waiting on spring to paint and add engine dressup along with new wires and such. I am a stickler for having them all one color.

i think i may paint the heat sheild for the headers Blue. some one said i should paint the battery Blue and they said i should paint the yellow cap for the coolant black to match the oil cap and power steering cap

Good luck on the exhaust manifold heat shield (it's not headers, it's an exhaust manifold, there actually is a difference. And anyway on a 4 cylinder it's "header" not "headers").

I do like the idea of painting the caps, but not the battery

If you want to get all technical, a 4 cylinder could have headers... it would be kinda dumb though since a single system would be easier.

I painted the exhaust manifold on my Daewoo after porting it... I painted it black though.

lets not get away from wether is a header or headers this is about painting the cover and other parts in the engine compartment.

what about Lighting the Engine Compartment? has anyone done this? or ground EFX? i know on the Matrix Group they where putting LED's in the Side Mirrors. just throughing some other ideas out there to make the car look good and different.

I'm going to have to do that, what exact paint did you use?

If you do the heatshield, will the high temp paint be enough?

I have a very similar intake setup, how did you get the pipe to not rest on the wires below, I haven't really played with it so I just cut a sock up and used it to cushion the top of the wires, I know, that's horrid.

Did you just use tape to mask the text?
