The Turbo cobalt also uses the 2.0 engine. The only problem I see with that is the fact that the turbo would probably hit the firewall.

Def. let me know if you go to any shows in the area!

Yes the turbo might be a problem, but their seems to be plenty of room back there. It would be interesting to see if a turbo setup would work. Maybe we will be seeing a Chevy Sonic with the LNF setup, I am thinking of getting a Sonic to build it into a Super-Sonic.

I can't wait to see what you come up with for that kit. I am betting there would be a few parts that would have to be used as cores to help keep it cheap?

Kool congrats on the build, looksgreat! What temp does it run @ warmed driving around.
The one thing I was wondered is that the oil cooler or the rad on the outsideof the rad support.
Oh and some more video of the car driving, 1/4 mile run would be Kool.

They can fabricate anything and fast. If you could release them, do you happen to have the design for the engine mounts and any other fabricated pieces. I would like to also do this transplant. If you have hand drawings I could draw them in Unigraphics 7.5 for you so you have designated part prints.

      Thanks,

Thank you very much for you interest and information on the fabricationcompany, I do not have any drawings I work off of paper templates that I draw onthe fly and start my fabrication. What Iam looking to do is to put together a set of brackets and have someone dofabrication drawing for me so I can have then manufactured in quantity. The setup that I put together is a bitcomplicated and required a cross member that I welded under the radiatorsupport. I will be putting a kittogether that uses the stock bracket form the Aveo transmission and the dogbone. The will be simplifying everything, the kit will consist of three adaptor brackets that uses all of the Aveofactory engine and transmission mounts to complete the engine swap.

Your the man Oscar. I really do appreciate (and I'm sure others do as well) you sharing your knowledge of the transplant with the rest of the forum. I would really like to see this thing in person. If theres any car shows coming up I'll be more than happy to start posting them to the forum.

The car runs at normal temp controlled by the ecu, it doesnot run hot I had a 1 inch core aluminum custom radiator made up for me by Griffin. The old Aveo radiator does not have thecapacity to cool the bigger engine with the higher HP output so I had to gowith a bigger radiator. As for theradiator sitting in the front of the radiator support is a universal unit I goton ebay and it is used for the water to air intercooler setup.

Send a picture of the brackets and dimensions and I can draw them up in Unigraphics if you want.
