E3 spark plug review
Ok so I was interested in testing the E3 diamond fire spark plugs. I watched the videos that showed all the technical features and the spot on horsepower tv for them. These are supposed to be miracle plugs!
DO NOT WASTE TIME!
after about 50 miles I had loss of throttle response and at 3am in the cold had catastrophic power loss to where I had to pull off to the side of the road. Acted like there was no clutch! Could rev it in neutral and acted fine but.under torque it died out. had to wait five minutes before trying it again to where it worked. But constantly everyday in the cold it would start acting like it wasn't getting enough fuel and bogging down. So I put like 150.miles on these and tried a couple tests and after switching back to my NGKs everything ran fine! So for sure 100% these are a waste of time. I even emailed E3 to see what kind of response I would get. I'll keep you informed.

I've always read that there is a reason why the engineers selected the plugs that come with the car and you should always stick with stock plugs for your car to run its best. Thanks for the update! :)

Ya but I'm always interested in aftermarket products. Plus I don't mind testing

Engineers don't get to pick parts, accountants do!
BTW, I also tried the E3 plugs in a CTS. Worked OK for a few thousand miles, then picked up a high-speed miss which slowly got worse. Screwed around with a few other things, finally put a set of AC platinums in and problem was solved. I concur with the OP.

I heard these plugs sucked in a V6 Camaro. Perhaps they will work miracles in lawnmowers, keep us posted on the E3 company's BS response.

I just read the email. Here is the first response:
Shaun,
I apologize for the problems you seem to have had. May I ask, what E3 part
number was installed and what is the model and engine size of your 2011
Chevrolet?

I sent him a message back and he told me the plug was the right replacement for my vehicle and asked if I still had or returned/discarded. Told him I still have them and I'm waiting on another response.

Company lawyers will blame u for some bullsh-t like improper install or having dirty hands...
-
Ya. I'm gonna see where this goes..... Probably nowhere

What advantage is there to 3 electrodes - electricity, like people, is lazy and will always take the path of least resistance. The arc will only jump to one electrode at a time, making the other 2 redundant. My way of thinking makes the redundant electrodes an impediment to the flame front. I can't see any advantage to these plugs.

It's actually just one big one with a diamond shape cut out of the bottom
