Do i hae a drainbolt on my tranny?

Sorry guys, I know this is a repeat question, but does my 2006 Aveo with an automatic, have a drain-bolt on it? Or does the pan have to be dropped to get any fluid out of it? Where is it on the pan if it is there?

We had a 2010, which does have the drain plug. Honestly, the best answer I can give ( and possibly why nobody will answer your question) is to get down on the ground and look under your car. On ours, the A/T is on the driver's side and the pan is clearly visible. You can feel along the bottom and will know for sure if there is a drain plug.

i cant tell there are so many bolts there, i dont know what is what. ill have to go to chevy i guess and ask them in person.

Honestly, it's not hard to tell. The pan, again-on our 2010, has the bolts around the outside that mount it to the transmission but there's one in from the side with a bigger head on it. That's the plug.

ive tried that, and i get half that SAY there is a bolt, and half that say there isnt. VERY few pics. of the 2006. Plenty of 2007, or 2004-2005...seems my 2006 is THE rare one. The 2007 is the year the engine changed over to the 100K mile timing belt and I think the engine block was changed, so the Auto Tranny changed. The 2007 HAS a drain bolt.

My 2004 Aveo (auto trans) has a trans drain bolt. Right in the middle of the pan,away from the transmission pan bolts
