      D16 Header - Quick..need advice

I am thinkin of buying this:

      http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/MUG-88-9 ... otohosting

Now...my question is, will it work on our cars, since i found that other post that says d16 headers will work on our cars. Does it matter what year? Will this header work??

Should fit fine. I do need to warn you that you need to enlarge the mounting holes a little, but it's no big deal.

only problem i can see is the clearance underneath with the engine...that header might run right into the oil pan

Yeah, that will be a problem. I have to admit, when I first looked at it, I though it was a turbo manifold... so perhaps it wouldn't be worth it due to the rework you've have to do to the downpipe there.

Well, I guess we'll see what happens...since i won the auction. The shop i get my work done at does pretty good work. If anything it'll be a matter of cutting some of it off.

      Ok, here is my thing...

If you look at the service manuals for the Aveo, it shows the exact same exhaust manifold as the one on the Lanos... which leads us to believe that this manifold will fit. Brian originally said it did not both at DaewooTech and at the old Aveo board. I'm not sure why he said that... all indication is that it will fit fine.

Furthermore, the oilpan on the Aveo isa bit different than the Lanos. In the Lanos we had to worry about oil pan clearances, where as on the Aveio it looks like it will clear fine. Actually, Brian said that the bottom part (the down pipe) fit great on the Aveo.

In theory, this should work perfectly.
