Coolant Smell Outside Vehicle

I have an '04 SVM standard shift, 74k miles. Starting within 2 years of purchase, I've noticed a coolant smell from outside the vehicle. I added a small amount of coolant probably 4 years ago to bring it right up to the full cold line. Never went down to min. I've never added coolant since then but always have a coolant smell outside the vehicle in the front. Any tips on narrowing down places to look? There has never been drips on the driveway.

if its not leaking, it will be hard to diagnose. try opening the cap to depressurize the system and then start it, see if there is a leak in the radiator then? look for steaming or a trickle.
