Depends on what coolant you use! Check your surge tank and see what color is in there.

(Yellow cap on milky white tank, should be upper right when you open the hood. Make sure the car has been off for at least an hour just to be safe!)

It's VERY IMPORTANT you don't mix them. The color indicates the chemical makeup of the coolant, and when mixed they'll gum things up like nothing else.
That said, I personally use Dex-cool, which is what my car came with, and is pink/red. Of course, I change it more often than what it says, because when the coolant breaks down it's not a pretty sight.
If you want to switch types, do a full flush of your system! Safest bet is to stick with what color is in there now ^^

      -Edit: Autocorrect is silly-

Reading the owners manual for 2005 Aveo it requires a coolant that meets GM1825M standards which I'm guessing is also the green coolant. My 2008 recommends to only use GM Dex-Cool (orange).

i buy the yellow universal stuff. it has great heat dissipation properties and works with both colors of coolant.

yeah either will work, they just make the orange for aluminum intakes, but have always used both dont see much of a difference (of course not mixing them) when i replaced my motor in my truck and radiator i went from the orange to the green.

$4 at Walmart difference -Prestone is $10 to GM at $14 NOTE Prestone does make a DexCool product.
