common coolant leaks on second gens

Ok Ive been complaining about the "mystery" coolant that seems to disappear with no trace. I had thought this was the trans cooler/radiator seals failing like so many others have complained about- I do have a weird mixture in the coolant which I flush every year. However I had to replace my drivers fender liner and wiper washer fluid hoses due to a brutal winter here in CHI. This is where I found a small pool of coolant near the CV boot on the axle. I gave it a quick look and didn't notice anything, I added to my overflow tank, but my question is, does anyone know of a common failure in this area of the engine bay, Im guessing it might be the overflow reservoir or hose, has this happened to anyone , I don't have a lot of time to just start tearing it down piece by piece....thnx

The plastic pipe which wraps under the intake? It has heater hose nipples on it, so it may be cracked like the thermostat housing does on the

well, Like I mentioned in another thread, I had a pressure cap failure where the gasket had a groove heat formed in it (as well as a failure of the cap's internal valving), which allowed the expensive Dex-Cool to leak past.
