cars not running right maybe you can help

ok what i am experiencing is on accelerating and holding at at any mph my car is kinda cutting out. say im bholding myy car at a set mph and rpm it will slow down and speed up. 1500 rpm down to 1000 give or take. i never really noticed it til i put my aftermarket muffler on and i can hear it and feel it slow down and speed up. i dont know if i need new plugs and wires or what. maybe someone on her can shed some light on this for me

Shes due for a plug change, they are pretty cheap, id recommend doing that, i had my plugs and wires done in less than a half hour. Mine did kind of the same thing, after holding the same speed for a while id go to accelerate and i could feel it hold back for a sec. Plug change fixed it,

Check the air filter, and maybe the fuel filter, too. Hesitation can be caused by several things.

A cleaning of the throttle body will also help.

Whenever I get a brand new problem (any, not just cars), right after I did something else, then I'm going to believe that's the cause of the new problem until proven otherwise. Now in this case, maybe it's not the new muffler itself causing the problem. Perhaps something like a vacuum/air line that didn't get reconnected tight, or something getting inadvertently hit and knocked loose. Might be worth checking everything in the area where you did the work.

not only that, there is Recall 11290; which is the Degraded Spark Plug Boot recall. not only do they replace the Spark Plug Boots on the Coil Pack, they install new Spark Plugs with a narrower Gap. so in essence, you get a FREE Tuneup with this recall!
