A/c compressor problems? Still works but making noise

06 hatch. the ac compressor is making a clicking noise, i know when the plates get bad they usally slip, but when the ac is on it almost sounds like a knocking cylinder, not sure whats causing the a/c to make the noise maybe a bearing. if not do i need to plan on buying a compressor?
please point me into a direction please, thanks.

i had a similar noise not to long ago, i thought it was my ac compressor, but i went ahead and just replaced my tensioner before i went shopping for compressors and the noise went away. you could give it a try just to make sure.

the pully on the compressor? because if it was the tensioner it would be doing it with the compressor on and off, it only does it when its on. or when i have the a/c on when i have the just the fan on and no ac, just blowing air it dont do it.

well it may indeed be the compressor, but a tensioner pulley is a cheap way to be sure, it cost me $33 for the whole tensioner assembley.

Mine does the same and loads of water under the car and in passanger floor. My gf feet get soaked. Is the line cloged? And does the compresser need attention?

the water drain issue sounds more like a clogged drain for the air box. It is supposed to drain to the road, but if it overfills it will drain to the road and flood the car.. are you sure it is water ? or is it coolant that is coming out?
