2008 Aveo Reverse OK - Won't Go Forward

Automatic Transmission Fluid ran very low. Refilled fluid - Now Reverse works OK BUT won't go forward unless I rev motor very high RPMs and then it barely moves forward. Removed pan and pickup assembly ALL looks OK. Valve body very clean.

What was happening with the transmission before you filled it? What caused the fluid to get so low? Have you scanned for codes?

First of all THANKS for your response and willingness to help !
It gradually slowed down to a stop and wouldn't go any further. Had it towed home. Must be a slow leak somewhere (will find/fix leak later). Do not know how to scan codes and I can't drive it to a shop.

You could disconnect the battery, trying to reset the computers and see if that does any good. But unfortunately, based on what you reported, it's highly likely that there's a serious internal mechanical issue (clutch packs seized up, ....) with your vehicle. You would need to have it towed to a transmission shop to confirm and repair (i.e. rebuild/replace), if your plan is to keep this one on the road.
