07 Aveo LS

I have an 07 aveo and I want to replace the non turbo stock engine. With a turbo charged engine. Or add a turbo if possible. Any suggestions? And prices?

Currently has a stock 1.6L 4speed automatic trany

Dunno ebay the parts its shouldnt be over 4000 for the engine trans then you need a tune shop for the ecu. You need custom mounts and suspension peices. there is a thread on here to do that swap go to the search bar and look up LSJ swap it should point you in the right direction.

Isn't the Cobalt engine much heavier than our 1.6L? When doing an engine swap, do you need to alter the front suspension at all?

yes new suspension is needed but but not somuch as theweight but because of the knuckles and axles needed for the swap.
