The shifter is almost a straight bolt on, the rear holes don't line up since the shifter is a shorter. This astro tool make it a easy job to modify it to fit. Please mind the mess the car has been sitting for about a year in my back yard...lol

Yes the shifters are very different, the aveo uses some wired shifter type. I'll take a picture of it so u can see the huge difference between them.
This is what I was talking about the shifter being different, the Aveo has a mechanical linkage and the cobalt has two rods

If your doing this swap to your aveo or in fact to any car, you need to be very knowledgeable or have a buddy that know what they are doing. There is a lot of wires that need to be cut and solder together, the computer systems for both of these cars are completely different from one anther.

For a fuel system I install a walbro 250 with -6an fitting all the way to the fuel pump. Reason being because the lsj exhaust manifold and the oem Aveo fuel line are about 3 inches away from each other. I really didn't feel safe running a line from the stock location to the fuel rail. I might run an external regulator I just have to see if I can tune around the extra fuel pump pressure.
