Wiper fuse popping
Hello everyone , I'm new here, I have a 2007 Aveo 5 , RS. I'm a car guy but this is my first Aveo. I plan on picking up more. Unfortunately my first post is a cry for help. My car keeps blowing the wiper fuse as soon as I flip the switch. I've replaced the wiper motor, ( I also bought a parts car), the wiper transmission is not seized, neither was the motor, and it doesn't matter if it's plugged in or not. I also unplugged the rear wiper motor which is seized, but it didn't make any difference, and I tried unplugging the washer pump as well. The fuse blows as soon as you flip it no matter what. Any ideas?

From the diagram I have , there are a few power ‘taps’ off this fuse (rear wiper, rear washer, front washer relay control and relay output).
Start by removing the wiper/washer relay and see if the fuse still blows. If it does then you likely have a short in the wiring/switch.
You can also check the various switch positions (Hi,Lo,Intermittant,Rear, etc) to see if you can narrow down a particular path for the problem. Turn the key off,set the wiper switch to the appropriate setting and turn the key to accessory and see if the fuse blows on the particular setting. You may go through a few fuses.
If after removing the wiper/washer relay and the fuse doesn’t blow then you can test both washer and rear wiper operations to verify they are OK.
Then take a look at the control/output wiring of the relay circuitry, although it could still be a bad switch, shorted coil on the relay or even possibly some chaffed wiring.
Hopefully this helps narrow down the issue.
Cheers

Thanks, I've already tried everything but the relay, and hunting through the wiring. I'll give it a try.
