Who'd a thunk: Aveo was GM's best selling model in the world (until Cruze)
Your Aveo trivia for the day:
Quote:
The president and managing director of Chevrolet Europe, Wayne Brannon, said ...
"Cruze is turning out to be a real success story. We are selling it in 70 countries around the world and it has recently surpassed the Aveo as our top selling passenger car nameplate globally," said Brannon.

Aveo was the company's best selling nameplate? Who'd a thunk?!
I guess the car's European sales figures are starting to make sense now.

See now even I was thinking about taking a look at the Cruze. I still love my Aveo though and might still hold out for the 2012.

Keep in mind thats probably on all platforms (gm owns them all) kalos, barina, aveo, swift+, g3, wave, am i missing one?
Re: Who'd a thunk: Aveo was GM's best selling model in the world (until Cruze)
I know for a fact that The cruze's 1.4 litre 138 hp turbocharged engine and either six speed manual and Six speed automatic will be available in the next gen Aveo. I test drove one I like the car it has good pick up and can pass four buses going seventy.

Know for a fact? Where did you get confirmation? I've only seen "predictions" so far.

I know because of what The GM President told Edmunds they are trying to make the aveo and cruze have universal parts as opposed to in the past as they had different parts but due to the fact that the Aveo was built in Korea the parts are hard to come by except the Oil Filter which by the way it shares with the Chevrolet Impala 3387A. They are hoping that the cruze's engines perform well so that they can put it in the Next Gen Aveo or What they call the VIVA PROJECT. I got my information from the source not from Wikipedia of all places.
