What the heck is this???

I've had my little 2006 Aveo for several years now, but have never figured out what this "slot" is. As soon as someone here points out what it is, I'm sure I'll feel silly...

PS: Thanks to this forum, I also fixed my throttle body. Expensive, but no more codes!

ID, parking pass, Credit card, registration, proof of insurance, etc slot.

The round circle is for the passenger powered mirror control, like this. :D

*This is an OLD image from the day I bought it, but it's fine just to show that.

I scrolled through my pictures archive and it was the only one I saw at first glance that had it in-frame. Weird. lol
