So I'm a tire guy. I actually work for Goodyear. The wheel's are about the same weight as the alloys but the offset is a little less which means the wheel sits a little bit (10mm, about 3/8") further away from the brakes

My speedometer is about 9 percent off, so at 55, I'm going about 60.

Ive always thought the rear wheels sat in the wheel well just a little too far.
I may just for go the junk yard steelies and order these when funds allow. In the end it will probably save me time and some money anyway. I will need tires anyway.
I have an 2008 aveo sedan. Same color as yours YabbyLyfe.
Thanks for the pictures and the info.

      Im brad.
I like the look the mud flaps add.
Im looking for some for my car. But i can't seem to find rubber ones though.
I've thought about getting one for like a straight truck or semi and make my own. But i don't know How expensive one of those would be.

Mine are plastic because rubber ones are so expensive. I feel your pain.

What size 15" tires does everyone use on these cars?

I found a set of stock 15" 5 spoke aluminum rims in the salvage yard yesterday. Almost new tires. However the tires are 195/60r15.
Will these rub at all? I do load my car to the point where the rear sags.
I currently have 185/65r14s on the car.
But want to go to a 15" rim.
If those won't work, what are some wider than stock sizes i can use?
      195/55r15?
I do have a set of steelies from a cobalt/ion available to me if those aluminum rims won't work.

Does anyone know how much those stock 5 spokes weigh vs stock steelies?

      Thanks in advance
