Is there a VIN # Stamped on the block?

Hey all...anyone know if the Aveo motor has a vin# stamped in it. And if so, where is it?

Also, anyone ever see there original timing belt? Did it have any writing or a manufacturers name on it?

there is a thread about the original belt brand, i dont have the older engine or i would share..

the engine does have numbers on them, but they are not the same as the vin. though you might have a sticker that might have the vin also.. but i am not sure how likely, again i have an 09, different engine, and some changes too.

Just take the cam gear cover off if you want to do a quick inspect of the timing belt. shouldnt be but 2, maybe 3 bolts, cant remember.

You can not commit crimes in a Aveo. Its just not fast enough.
