I come on here now and again to see what's happening to other people's Aveo's and I want to thank all for the info.
My 2008 Aveo, bought new, just rolled 80k, I thought about foregoing changing the timing belt but changed my mind reading all the post advising it. Glad I did. Also talked a coworker into doing the same (2008 Aveo 120k) and he is really glad! Mine was pretty wore and his was about to snap according to our mechanics.
Thanks for the great advice!
Co-worker also had stalling problems, turned out to be a cracked intake cowl.
