Why would you need one?
You could just get a short shifter from xiaogary. What else have you done performance wise to your car?
i dont think he asked for a short shifter.. but i have one sitting here i made,,
xiaogary does have a performance clutch not sure how.
starting in 09 the factory offered a performance clutch as a $400 option. i didnt get it, but it was "recommended" by the factory if you lived somewhere with mountainous landscape..
have you tried looking on ebay for lanos performance clutches? or i forget the other car..
a "Cheap" option would be to take the clutch to a shop, and have the organic material taken off and a more aggressive material put on. they can also typically change the spring loads. not sure what this would cost it would be based on where you take it.
If your looking for a performance clutch go on http://www.daewootech.com/forum
And contact Garrett his username is gse_turbo (this guy right here http://www.daewootech.com/forum/memberl ... ile&u=1961) he can offer a wide variety of clutches for your D16.
3, 4, 6 puck ceramic or carbon-kevlar disks with a 1500 lbs pressure plate.
Let him know what your looking for, he will build a kit for your specific needs.
because i am going to do a complete rebuild and drop a turbo in and the factory one will not keep up with what i am planning on doing.... at least i dont think that it will... i have a friend that has a talon and when he got a bigger turbo he had to replace his pressure plate and upgrade to a stage two cause it put out so much more hp that it burnt up the stock one in his car.Quote:

If you want a turbo manifold, you will have to basically get one made from scratch im pretty sure.
Ive heard some honda manifolds can work with a bit of modification to the flange, ive never looked into it tho.
yeah there is enough room to put a top mount intercooler too if you do it all right... its all in where you place them atQuote:

i can see the top mount intercooler fitting but the front of the hood is a lot lower than the back..
maybe your just using a smaller turbo than i am picturing.
the top mount turbo actually dosnt go up that high when you put it in it only sits about 2 inches over the valve cover but there is a lot more clearance than you would realize. but because of the 1.6 that i have the oil filter siting right in the front and right where i would sit a bottom mount manifold so unless i want to do a lot more work it would just be easier to make the top mount... and if you go to youtube and type in turbo aveo you can see the sit up that i am shooting for as long as everything goes as planned.
ive seen that video, i guess i thought it was a horizontal log manifold, but now i see it is up right.
and that is a small turbo..
No thanks...there is definitely a better way of routing it in there. You can make a turbo fit nicely in the front so long as you plan out your piping the right way. Heat rises, so if you were to go a top mount system you are looking at a lot of power loss there and a lot more intercooler pipe work. Just do a small DSM or VW front mount with a reasonable size Garret turbo in the front where it's supposed to be.
diamond stars don't have front mounts they have side mounts and with our cars there is no way to get air to the side to allow it to go through the intercooler to cool the air so it would actually be worse than using the top mount.. and really as long as you are moving the air from the scoop will pull in and it should work out... its really a pain in the ass trying to run a front mount but i guess i will just see what works the best and go from there.Quote:

idk but just be careful that you dont blow the welds on it with that 100 shot of NOS
or fry the piston rings
or granny shift, only double clutch
oh im not planning on running nos any more i thought it would be easier to do than boosting it but i decided aginst the nosQuote:

A couple of Nissan SR20's would pull a premium one week before race wars :D
3 minutes 1/4 mile drag race... going 140 mph hitting the nos button..
OMFGGGG my floor panel just unbolted itself and flew out the back of my car!!
And that 1st time he tries out the mistubishi... you can hear the engine at like 4-5k rpms in 5th gear then all of a sudden the engine revs like king kong on crack oh my god rev limiter and the car spins out.. HAHAHA double you tee eff (WTF!)
"Too soon junior!"

YO fool, i live my life a quarter mile at a time, okay?
at least I didnt spend $10000 on an ecu
if you know anything about cars, adding NOS increases your revs, as in the race he has no problem going over 140mph
and since he spent all that money on his computer, of course it will blank "danger to manifold" :|
It didn't specify whether it's intake manifold or exhaust manifold...
lmao u guys ... fast and the furious lol
you know, i have this strange feeling that their intention was not to appeal to people who are actually knowledgeable about cars :P
on an unrelated note, went to the napierville dragway last night. no i didn't run my car, but i did see a Wave sedan (one that looked like this http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/c ... _Sedan.JPG) who ran 18.9 sec.. lol
saw lots of hondas running 15-17 and a couple that were in the mid 12's
some of the cars sounded insane/dramatic (most of the hondas and one camaro) but there was this one skyline which was running, if I recall correctly, mid 13's, but it was so quiet !!
I saw two cobalt SS supercharged head to head, but neither of them could break the mid 15's after repeated runs :( ... I did see a Cavalier that did almost as good (high 15's and low 16's). I think it was a 2.2 ecotec, looked like a newerish model after they discontinued the 2.4 z24's , i believe.
im assuming the intake manifold as that is what don told brian not to blow the welds on, hence "danger to manifold"
they played mad libs to make the script, but it is just so fun making fun of it by bringing up random quotes
everytime i say NOS, people jump away to the ground, I dont know why though
