solution to icy snow covered windshields

Found a great solution to icy snow covered windshields in the morning. I put a sheet of those non-slip rug sheets on the windshield and held it in place by sliding the bottom edge under the wipers. This morning after 8 inches of crusted snow, I found the edge and pulled it off - along with it came all the snow and ice. It worked great.

I got mine at a local discount store.

I wish I would have put something over my windshield instead of chipping away at 1.5" of ice yesterday. Took me an hour to get the windows cleared. In Florida we never had to deal with this nonsense.
