never even heard of that...google time!
I'll second that. Always Always Always keep your sub(s) amp separate. You want a dedicated amp for your subs. Period no discussion needed.
yeah i figured so
Hmmm..So this amp is no good???Quote:

I think it all depends on the goal trying to be achieved. Yes, if you want 1K watts RMS to some big subs, then you need dedicated amps. But if you need the space and want to add a little boost, the above amp will serve that purpose well, and 300W is good for most lower end subs
I have always been an Alpine amp fan myself.
Since we are throwing out names for speakers...how about focal. Nice subs too.
its been a long time since i did any sound stuff. hell i am just happy my aveo even has a radio.
but the 5 channel amp is for good even sound, they came out right around when i stopped weighing the car down for music and wanted less weight to go faster. If you are trying to thump, you need separate amp for the woofer. But the 5 channel was a "matched" system, that was basically plug and play 5 speakers.
As far as if it is as good or cost effective, i cant answer. I like my stock head until enough. Most of my others car you couldn't hear the radio over the engine anyhow.
Lol. And yes I agree as long as you don't want the big thump from your subs then a 5 channel would be fine. I should have pointed that out.Quote:

two amps for two subs?
what about the other factory speakers, how would you hook those up?
