Plasti dip
Hey guys,
What are your opinions on plasti-dip? I bought some of the spray in red to cover my rims. I figured it was a better/cheaper option than ruining them with spray paint that isn't removable. Its also cheaper than buying new custom rims. I've heard a lot of good things about it, just wanted to get your ideas.
Also, would it be overkill to not only do the rims but also do the grill?

depends on what you're looking to do, if you check my garage, you'll notice my car gained some black lol it was all plastidip. it's a great product, just remember to do even coats, and if you spray extra coats it'll be more durable, but easier to remove when you want to. what do you mean by grille? the whole thing or what? if you want to PM me, I can shoot you my number if you need any help.

Plasti Dip is just a yes, anytime. Attachment 6608 I always plasti dip anything before painting (the green is actually engine bay paint I had left over from painting my calipers, but I dipped the grill first!)
A lot of people hate plasti dip, but to each their own! Plus, the Blaze collection colors are wayyyy awesome!

Plasti dip is awesome. I used it on my wheels for the wintertime to protect them from the nasty salt we have here. My only advice is to put it on really generously, with light coats. Peeling off plasti dip when it just tears from being too lightly sprayed is a NIGHTMARE.

It's great to hear so many good things about plasti-dip I'm too cheap for a custom set of rims, so I was thinking of plasti-dipping them in black

Plastidip is the best invention for car tuners, why spend all that $ painting only to get tired of the color in 6 months, Im debating on my 3rd re dip this year....nice cobalt...is that sprayed from the can or with a HVLP sprayer???
