What's a cheap but good OBD II scanner?
Go on ebay, buy one of the OBD2 readers on there (or get the software for the computer and wire for $20, that is what i do).
What do you want it to do? For reading generic codes, I find the Actron pocketscan to be a decent value. It doesn't offer access to monitors and some manufacturer specific codes though.
i say cord and computer, thats what i have. Infinitely upgradeable for cheap.
I have an obd2 bluetooth adapter I got off eBay and I run torque pro on android and its frigging awesome. I can data log get real time scanning on just about everything and can also clear codes if they pop up. Now to keep saving for that hp tuner kit so I can put all this data to good use
