Next best course of action?

Hey everyone, I Just went to replace both halogen bulb headlights and discovered that it was not, In fact, the headlights that were broken but the connectors/harness.


The connectors have been burnt up, but no further damage other than right at the connection to the bulb. If I have to wire a new connection I can, but does anyone think it could be a fuse/short issue somewhere along the harness?

I can attach pictures later when I’m not on mobile.


What’s the next best move to do so this doesn’t happen again?

Eh, it happens. Just replace and go on with life. It’s not that abnormal.

yeah usually how i treat things, just was wondering if it was common issue with a fix i need to do to prevent it.

Looks like your repair may out live the vehicle. Nice job!

Usaly a burned up connector is from being 1 not having good contact not tight enough loose fit 2 it cannot take the load as resistance let's it get hot and then resistance goes up from the heat causing it to get even hoter
