The new guy...
Hi all, came across the site while looking for information on the 2008 Chevy Aveo. Can you guys point me to any useful threads for this particular model year?
I'm interested in things like the engine and such, the search function isn't giving me many useful results, but it IS 2am, and I'm a bit... punchy. :)
Short, short version of the reason we're looking into an Aveo, my future wife got rear ended in her 89 Camry, needs a new car asap, so we ended up getting the 08 Aveo.
That's as close to TL;DR as I can get. :)

04 to08 would be the same in all aspects.

You made a good choice getting the Aveo, people assume because it's a cheaper car it's not worth the money but actually it's an amazing car, good on fuel and still has some kick in it.
I'm 17 and got my 06 Aveo5 SVP for my 2nd car. Couldn't be much happier, I've literally pounded 11 sets of tires out of it and 60,000KM since August and it's still running strong, minor repairs: power steering pump, seperntine, 3 wheel bearings, 2 wheel bearing hubs, ball joint and a control arm bushing. That's only because I've beat it into the ground though...

I am working on a 2008 aveo5 sv, same as your car. Check out my builld thread that I forgot to get a link to but you can find it if you search my name and build thread I'm sure.
Good Luck and look forward to seeing your build.
