New to forum!
Hi, everyone! I just joined this forum to see if anyone else has had any issues or advice on their Aveo. I have a silver base 2008 model. Nothing very special about it except it is my first car. So, far I have not had any serious issues with it. I just replaced the battery at my dealer for $200 (big mistake there...). I've read a few posts about how others are having an issue with the wind sound while driving. I'll have to try a few suggestions for fixing it.
I also just put my Aveo in the shop today, not my local dealer. I'm having a couple sensors replaced and my AC recharged. Going to cost me $530. Not too happy about that but I have to put some money in it to keep it running efficiently.

Not much to say really. Make sure you follow the recommended service intervals for the timing belt is really all. I haven't had any issues with mine at all once I got it running. Neglect I think is the Aveo's worst enemy. For example, if you start hearing a noise that wasn't there before, post here and try to describe it or try to get a car knowledgable friend to listen to it.

$200 for a battery and $530 for those things listed are super expensive, do not go to those places anymore!

The $530 spent is dependent of what they are telling you needs replaced. It sounds like a lot to me as well but it depends on what they determined you need, or if they are throwing parts at it for some reason.
