I'm at 72,500 miles in my 2011 Chevy Aveo ...

Bought it brand new in 2011 - I love my Aveo! I take it in regularly for oil changes. Last August, I had issues and $2500 later I had new front brakes, new control arm, and something else that was under warranty they replaced. All has been good. I have used a local Goodyear place since day #1 and trust them.

But I'm at 72500 miles right now. I asked Goodyear if my Aveo was due for any regular maintenance. They suggested a "tuneup", a radiator flush and something about my transmission.

I'm curious to know what's involved with a tune up?

Anything else I should be having done at this point?

I'd like to keep this car for as long as possible! I'm also retired, work 3 mornings a week so don't drive it too far any more. I usually go on an overnight road trip 2 or 3 times a year, maybe 150 to 200 miles each way. Still, not much!!

It's getting pretty close to needing the timing belt replaced. A tune up is probably fresh spark plugs and wires, transmission service is filter replacement and refill with fresh fluid.

You have no coil wires its a coil pack 2009-2011 so unless its bad dont you have to change it 2008 and bellow had wires when the timing belts done replace the water pump and the tensioner and idler bearing recomend the ac delco gold one and probaly replace the wheel bearings around 100,000 replace with timken set35 that's about when they went out on my 2008 and 2009 also the valve cover low preassure regulator for crankcase will at some time go out new valve cover comes with it I drove 1 480,000 miles 2008 2009 got 200,000 commute 120 miles a day

Thank you! 480000 miles? Whoa. Even 200000 sounds like a miracle to me. I guess my measly 72500 is just drops in a bucket!!
