Highest Mileage Aveo (how many miles / km on yours now?)

ive past 175,000km just last week. last thing that was fixed was the plastic t-stat housing. (plastic. yay). got it replaced with a cast metal one by goodwrench. a few weeks later i found that it was *defective*, leaking coolant, but goodwrench fixed it at no-charge. they made good. im happy.

on my 2nd timing belt. still original plugs, wires, brakes... hmm.... i should get those replaced, soon.

car still stalls when the temp is -20 C or lower after 1/2 hour of driving. that was supposed to be fixed two years ago, but that's ok. there are plenty of shoulders on my commute.

still runs good. no real problems.

Get the plugs and wires changed and the stalling problem might stop. The plugs have excessive gap after 50 000km. Change for platinum and don't worry about them for another 160 000km.

hmm... mine are probably due too then, havent changed them in more than 50,000km and while i dont have a stalling issue im not getting as good mileage.

Yeah I took the original plugs out at 50 000km and measured gap and it was excessive (out of spec). You could just re-gap them and make them last another 30 000 km... but while you're at it you might as well put platinum in or iridium, and forget about them for a long while.

I've clocked in 159K on my '05. I drive it hard but religiously follow the maintenance schedule. My sister had an '04, babied it, and blew her motor under 60K.

The aveo I seen with the most miles on it was an 08 with 349,136 I actually called the dealer and it wasn't a typo. That is the miles on it. I copied and pasted the ad below.

How could he drive this car so much in so little time??? I had a hard time staying in mine for 4 hours because of the cheap seats and this guys spent the equivalent of more then 250 days (if he was doing 60 mph most of the time), 24h/day in his car!

the cheap seats? why are they cheap? because they arent made by lazy boy like the rest of GM?

i know they aren't perfect. but everyone has a different feeling.. i like they are still firm, but cushioned.

cheap seats to me are like the apc racing seats, its like your sitting on a leather covered board.

good seats are recaros..

That's why I actually called the dealer to verify the mileage, when he told me it was in fact 349 thousand + on it and then asked me if I was still interesed I actually couldn't help myself from laughing as I said no. I seriously thought there was a decimal point missing and that the picture was probably not showing some body damage on the other side or something along those lines if it was an 08 with 34ooo at that price.
