      goodbye.

this forum has not proven to be the least bit helpful. its just full of ricer kids and no real information. any useful information that was posted, the links are dead and no one has done a thing to fix them or change them. this forum is not worth my time anymore and has proven to be rather useless. if i could delete myself from here, i would. goodbye.

Take care. I find it hard to believe there is "no real information." I ask questions and get responses daily. There might be really active forums, but I doubt any better than this one for the Aveo!

I've learned that my engine is from Opel and is shared with the Vauxhall Corsa which is turbocharged, and what family of engines it belongs to and that it is also used in the Cruze (in N/A and Turbo form). I found out that I can use coilovers for a VW on this car, what rims should fit if I am looking for used. That my lights can be taken apart, downloaded a service manual I found because of this site (not for my year but some things are the same). I have a fairly large list. If there is one thing I have learned about cars without a large after market is that you may need to do a bit of research and legwork yourself and ask questions even if they may be retarded (been there). I'm not saying this to be mean but many of us are also learning on the fly here as well, and because this isn't a honda civic or chev cavalier your going to need to dig up some of the info yourself.

I have not chased anyone out, well maybe aveorob but he was crazy. I don't remember ever talking to this guy though, I don't know what is wrong with him either.

i dont understand how when you ask how to do something, then come back with how you already know how to do it? at the same time not knowing what a k frame is... if you want me to believe any manual tells you you can pull the tranny out of a fwd car without pulling the engine/tranny assembly together or dropping the k frame, i would LOVE to see that. you cant leave everything bolted in place and have room to separate the bell housing between the rails.
