Thanks for the info Rabbit I will have to give that a try. So other then an obvious safety issue with a vehicle, what does it take for a recall on an issue of this type?

I would guess that GM is no different then any other auto manufacture when it comes to owning up to a design flaw. Yes this awful noise may not be considered a safety concern, at the same time I wouldn't think it would be good for return business either, if GM won't step up and address it.
