Engine malfunction light
My engine malfunction light keeps coming on and I have to get the computer reset. First time was only when I had her 3 days, got her from new. The main dealer replaced some sensors they said and all was ok. ''FOR A WEEK.'' The same thing happened. She went back in, got done again. Then 3 months later the heater fan stopped working. Again was told it was a sensors. Had this on and off for the 3 years under her warranty. Now, again the engine malfunction light is back on. I didn't take her to a main dealer this time just a local garage to see if they came up with the same thing, and they done a computer check and it came up with the Throttle senors were faulty.
As this problem is reoccurring could this be the ECU and not infact the sensors themselves. I do not know much about this sort of thing but I am wondering if the signal from the ECU is breaking down and this is what is causing this to happen. Any clues at all as to what I can do as it costs me £35 every month to get my computer reset. Cheers.

Took her to a friend's local small garage he has given her a clean up and reset. So now will have to see if this changes anything.

There were three codes but I didn't make a note of them. He showed me on his hand held computer thing he plugged into my car.
I'm guessing this was something I should have made a note of and will do when it happens again.
