Does my 2008 have anti-theft?

I don't think it does. This is the non-power version: crank-up windows and up-down button door locks. The only thing with electronic power that I can see is the radio!

I'm asking because the dealer wanted $35 for a key, but there's no buttons on the key, and no place to gain access for a battery.

A quick google search turned up nothing. So I thought I'd ask here.

It's not a "chip" key. It may look like one, but it's just an ordinary key with a big gob of plastic as the head of it. The dealers are charging $35 for an ordinary key and it is a ripoff. We've discussed the topic at length here, so do a search and you'll find all you need to know about it.

Did some searching and found several mentions for the key. Just wanted to verify the chip / no-chip.
