Check Engine LIght

My Check Engine Light in 2007 Aveo hatchback sedan was out which prevented me from getting my license plate tags and is it in the speedometer area, tachometer area, or the clock area. Local Chevy dealer says no listing for Check Engine bulb.

I has a 2008 hatch back that was in the clock and it is a LED not a bulb when I bought the car the engine check light did not ever show up even when the key was turned on it should have it was giving me problem as surging when driving went pep boys had them read the codes was the throttle body but get yourself a OBDI code reader or an Autel Maxiap 200 got that as it could program remote keys

You have to remove the radio bezels and remove the long top piece to remove the clock well the led was removed by someone unsoldered so the check engine would not show up as that was the problem luckily the was an extra unused led for the ABS light same yellow as mine did not have ABS unsoldered that on and put it where the CHECK Engine one should have been my car did not have Cruise control so if yours has might be different and a led is polarized will only work in 1 direction but fixed the problem
