2005 Chevy Aveo LS Rim Question

SO I bent my good old factory steel 14" by 5.5 steel rim. They want 183 plus tax for a new one so I am on the look out for new rims. Do I just need to be looking for bolt pattern 4x100 size 14 or can I go to a 15 or 16 as long as the bolt pattern stays the same?

I'm pretty sure as long as your bolt pattern stays the same you'll be ok... So long as we're not talking like 22s! However, if the overall diameter of the tire/rim assembly changes (gets larger or smaller) your speedo and odometers might not be accurate because they are calibrated on the stock tire size. I'm sure there is a way to adjust it, but that is beyond me!

you need to worry about center bore and offset as well as spoke design on the aveo.

Got a set of 15" aluminum wheels at Discount Tire for $114 apiece, so also had to get all new tires. (Needed 'em anyway.) Dropped to 60 series tires and the speedo is actually more accurate now than it was before according to the roadside radar displays you pass on occassion. Any large tire chain can make the size conversion in seconds on their computer.
