2005 Checy Aveo Base model hatch back. NO engine light

Hello,

just bought a car recently. But when I turn the ignition key I do not see the engine light. It does not come on at all.

Does anyone know where in control panel the light is located on this model.Thanks for any info.

Check engine light should be in the cluster by the clock. most of the info lights are, the only ones not by the clock are the parking break, gas low, turnsignals and highbeams.

Does your clock work? the clock cluster has a reputation for cracking solder joints. There is repairs listed here showing how to fix the clock. Also it just could be a bad light.
