11 Aveo LS Cabin Air Filter

      Hello all,
I have an issue I could really use some help with.
I have a 2011 Aveo LS, I'm trying to replace the cabin air filter.
The filter I pulled out is above the fan in a horizontal position, the number of the old filter is GM 95981207.
      The owners manual says 96962173.
The filter the auto parts store gave me was way to long.
      The original filter measured about 8 1/4" wide x 8" long x 3/4" high.

I can't seem to find the correct filter. I tried searching for it but but everyplace keeps telling me it's the larger filter that seems to be for models with the filter placed vertically to the left of the fan.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

      Thank you
      Tony

Did you try Rockauto? For 2011, they show 3 different AC Delco filters. A "broad" filter 95951206. A "long" filter 1534368. And 19326973 (which you said doesn't work). One of those first 2 filters must fit your Aveo.

Did any of those work? I am in the same situation with the horizonal position and a long replacement...
