Curious about this - was wondering if the factory belt was bunkola like discard at 55,000 miles. Now the aftermarket belts might be amazing compared to the oem.. she's at 118,000 miles, 2nd water pump, 2nd timing belt, 4th valve cover gasket..

The new belts are no better than the originals. Get ready to change it again.
Yeah, I have an 2006 LS, with 130K. Put on 3 New Belts, 3 New H2O pumps, 3 New Tensioners.
Most likely overkill, but its an interference engine, so any kind of timing belt failure, and it will bend the
internal workings. Then its either an engine swap, or BIG BUCKS to some mechanic!
It also depends on time I change everything at 120,000 miles but drive it 120 miles a day and so about 30,000 + a year had a 2008 used the same and now a 2009 so about every 3-4 years along with coolant
