Whatever happened to the "What's New" tab?

Can it be restored?

Yeah, I liked the What's new tab. But the Active Topics link works pretty much the same way.

Whats new only showed whats been posted since last you've been here. Active topics shows what has been posted since last you've been here (bolded links) plus all the activity from the past few days.
