      Stock Block Heater?

We have a 2010 Aveo5 LS, and it came with a block heater that has this plug.

Now, for the life of me, I can't find a replacement cord for it so we can plug it in this winter. The dealership has no idea, and my google fu is weaker than I remember. Anyone have any ideas?

On the underside of the dust cap it looks like it says "TYPE" something. What does that say?

After going down the rabbit-hole of the service manual (and a ridiculous amount of Google), I think I found the part number for the cable. If that says "Type B-1" on the cap, then the part number is probably 96476972. Make sure you are sitting down when you look at pricing...

Found it after cross referencing the engine block heater part number (96898044) on this site:
      https://nemigaparts.com/cat_spares/e...t/01/dt01-312/

As a caveat, I have the manual for an 09 Aveo5 LT, but the engine should be the same between both model years (and the accessories as a result).

The cap says TYPE A1 203, so I guess it would be safe to say it's the 96867475 from the diagram you sent. Thanks for the help! I'll have to see what I can find out about getting one ordered for a reasonable price.

It would be a great help to the rest of us if you'd tell us where to buy this part instead of keeping the information to yourself. Thanks!

Can you cut off what you have in the picture and replace it with a conventional extension cord socket and plug?

      $158.48 for a cord is ridiculous. https://www.gmpartsgiant.com/parts/g...-96867475.html
