      Sonic LTZ joins the fleet

Over the weekend, my girlfriend pulled off quite a feat. Sold her 02 Malibu for a very good price, and within the same day came home with this. '13 LTZ model with the 1.4T LUJ and six speed automatic, with less than 3K miles on it. She tried the spark and liked it, but was wanting more features. She fell in love with the sonic. Need I say more? lol

Awesome! I saw an Orange LTZ on instagram a few days ago, very sharp!

I will own a fully loaded Sonic, but I won't sell or trade of my Aveo to do so. SO many have traded off their Aveos and then they miss them afterwards. lol

      Lots of happy miles!

Yes the 'inferno orange' grows on ya pretty quick. Very cool to have a car that is orange at one angle, and turns a deep red at another angle. Kinda gets your attention. The Spark she looked at was a very bright green, I like the idea that she will be easy to see in traffic so bright hue's are a plus.

I am still very happy with my $500 chewy look alike LS and have no plans of unloading it. Aside from the bright hue of the color, huge 17" wheels, clean 'new look' and the hair dryer under the hood, it's not a whole lot different than an Aveo. The one thing we will notice is that car payment in 45 days lol

Yes, car payments are fun. Been there, done that. And as hunter said, enjoy every minute of it!

We intend to find out which is quicker. The sporty Sonic 1.4 or my trusty Aveo LS 1.6 with new rings AND valves. Anyone laying odds?

FYI After a good long road trip in our LTZ 1.4T the average MPG was a whopping 26.6? I was kind of bummed, my 06 Aveo LS currently averages about the same, this morning it was 26.3 on the way to work. This was going by the 'miles/gal' setting on the DIC. Is this about par for the turbo LUJ? This one only has 2340 miles on it, but I still expected to see low 30's.

I'm fairly sure a non turbo books for 48 ish. A turbo books for like 37. That's the most that Garry (my neighbor) has squeezed out of his when he's on the highway. He's older and doesn't drive far anymore. He has the 1.8 Turbo fully loaded sedan. I wish it was a hatch.
